Robert E. Isenberg of Caro, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Fisher Senior Care & Rehab Center in Mayville, following a brief illness.  He was born March 17, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Elmer and Margaret (Schieber) Isenberg, and moved with his family to Garden City, Michigan at the age of ten. He attended parochial school and graduated from Lutheran West in Detroit with the Class of 1967.  A true Bronco at heart, he continued his education at Western Michigan University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Bob was united in marriage with the former Jacquelyn “Jacki” Stallings on April 28, 1973 at the First Presbyterian Church in Flint. He was employed with Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools where he taught Auto Mechanics, Woods, Metals, Drafting, and Career Pathways for thirty years, retiring in 2004.  He then began his association with the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro where he was employed as a funeral associate. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro, serving as an Elder since 1988, singing in the choir and serving on countless committees.  Bob served many associations, including the Pinecrest Subdivision Council, and the Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools Education Association, where he served as President.  Bob’s life revolved around his family, and he loved spending time with his grandson, Jack. He also enjoyed traveling, flying, cars, riding his motorcycle, reading, camping, kayaking and snowshoeing.  Bob is survived by his loving wife, Jacki Isenberg of Caro; one daughter and her husband, Sarah Beth and David Lester of Kingston; one grandson, Jackson David Lester of Kingston; one step-grandson, Bailey Lazar of Kingston; one brother and his wife, William and Barbara Isenberg of East Grand Rapids; an aunt, Jean Schieber of Santa Clara, California; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Jan and Lorry Goldman of Flushing, Joni and Bruce Rose of Maitland, Florida; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, Jack and Lucy Stallings.   Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating.  In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation followed the service. The family were present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro or Pancreatic Cancer Research, c/o Johns Hopkins University.  The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.  Friends may share memories, thoughts and prayers online at www.RansfordCollon.com.
