Geraldine “Jarry” Stapleton, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Ocala Regional Hospital in Ocala, Florida. Jarry was born in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Ernest and Eva (Marine) Hendrickson and grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Jarry joined the U.S. Navy Waves in 1943. She met and married Raymond F. Stapleton while stationed in Washington, D.C. as a radio operator. They celebrated their 68th anniversary on July 20, 2014. They resided in Caro, Michigan before retiring to Orlando, then Ocala, Florida in 1978. While living in Caro and Ocala, Jarry enjoyed golf, bridge and oil painting. She enjoyed the lifelong friendships she made while pursuing these activities. She had a wonderful outlook on life and shared that with her family and friends. Jarry is survived by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Kathy Muller of Saratoga, California and Priscilla Stapleton of Ocala, Florida; one son, Mikhail Likova of Boston, Massachusetts; and granddaughter, Tiffany Muller of Vancouver, Canada. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Pat Stapleton, his wife, Carol, and nephews Chris, Jeffery, and Jim. She was preceded in death by son, Raymond G. Stapleton and her brother, John. In keeping with her wishes, Jarry donated her body to the University of Florida Medical School, Gainsville, Florida. She did not want a memorial service and would rather be well remembered by her friends and family.
