Delfino Torrez of Caro, age 49, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 17, 1965 in Brownfield, Texas, the son of Delfina Rendon Torrez and the late Jose Vega Torrez. He was united in marriage with the former Rikki Robison on March 17, 1997 in Naples, Florida, and she survives him. Delfino made friends wherever he worked or went. He enjoyed fishing, volleyball, playing poker, and NASCAR, especially Matt Kenseth. He is survived by his loving wife, Rikki; four children, David, Austin, Molly and Alex; his mother, Delfina Torrez; his siblings, Jose and Juana Torrez, Maria Reynero, Marta and Bill Bender, Jesus and Alberta Torrez, Minerva and Harley Colton, Juan and Katie Torrez, Daniel and Dena Torrez, Melba and Julius Wilding, David Torrez, Merina and Matthew Gennrich, Monica and Chris Wilding, Melissa Torrez, Santa and Dennis Morell, Rafaila and Johnny Hinton, and Dario and Heather Hampel; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Costas; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Caro with Pastor Jerome Bouverette officiating. Friends may call at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday at the time of service.
