Robert J. Ringle of Caro, age 79, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at McLaren Lapeer Region in Lapeer. He was born July 15, 1935 in Caro, the son of the late Mathias John and Esther Fern (Parks) Ringle. Robert was employed for more than thirty-one years at Michigan Sugar Company, with the last twenty-eight as a welder, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, including his fruit trees, hunting and painting.
Robert is survived by two sons, three daughters, and their spouses, Linda & Brian Kelley of Cass City, Bob & Julie Ringle of Caro, Sharon & George Shannon of Elmwood, Tennessee, Jim & Linda Ringle of Caro, Carolyn Little of Hardinsburg, Indiana; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Mathias John Ringle; a brother, Jon Melvin Ringle; and an infant sibling.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation will follow the visitation. Burial will be at a later date at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.
