William A. Worth Jr. (Bill), Leesburg, Florida, formerly of Millington

Mr. William A Worth Jr. of Leesburg, Florida formerly of Millington, Michigan passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the age of 88. Bill was born on April 25, 1926 in Flint, Michigan. On July 7, 1946, Bill married June Fenstermaker and together, Bill and June celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage. While living in Flint, Bill was a member of the Kearsley School board. In 1968, Bill and June purchased Worth’s market in Millington from his mother and together they, along with son, Steve operated Worth’s market for 20 years. For many years, Bill was a very active member of the East Flint and Millington Lion’s Club, he also was a Tuscola County Commissioner for 10 years and served as board chairman for 4 years. Bill and June moved to Leesburg, Florida in 1990. Bill was also very active in the senor community, Mid Florida Lakes, where they lived; he called bingo for many years, was a past president of the home owners association and a past commodore of the boat club. He is survived by his wife June, and by three sons, Steve and Marion Worth of Crystal, Mi, David and Victoria Worth of Williamston, Mi and Bob and Durene Worth of Millington, Mi. Grandchildren Eric, Rayleen, Tony, Jennifer, Sandy. Jamie and Derek. Great-grandchildren, Karson, Ayla, Ava and Katie. Also a sister, Betty (Harold) Rueger.  He was preceded in death by his father William and mother Mazie, brother Forest and sister Hazel, also brother Alan. Bill served America in the U.S. Navy from 1944 -1946 aboard a LST in the Pacific theater during World War II. Honoring Bill’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
