David M. Lalko, 62, of Kingston died following a lengthy illness Friday, March 6, 2015 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Saginaw. He was born December 16, 1952 in Cass City the second of seven children born to Mike and Jane Anne (Legg) Lalko. He married Terie Lea Wilson June 20, 1981 in Caro. Dave graduated from Kingston High School in 1971. He attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant. Dave then went to work for General Motors retiring in 1996. Beginning in the 1980′s Dave sold and installed solar hot air and water systems. Recently he owned and operated Caro Pool Supply. Dave organized the Kingston Days parade for many years and was part of the Kingston Days Committee. When the boys were young, Dave was a Little League coach and Junior High Football coach. Dave enjoyed attending Kingston Community School athletic events.He enjoyed deer hunting and woodworking. He built his cabin from trees he harvested from the family property. Dave is survived by his wife, Terie; sons: Michael Lalko of Sanford, Andrew Lalko of Kingston; mother, Jane Anne Lalko of Kingston; sisters: Brenda Trimmer of Holly, Susan Ross of Kingston, Marie (Sakari) Perttula of Caro, Jennifer (fiancé Daren) Campbell of Kingston; brother, Tim (Deena) Lalko of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-law, Gerie Lynn (Roy) Smith; mother-in-law, Geraldine Wilson; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lana; father, Mike Lalko; sister, Nancy Lalko Gomez; father-in-law, Harold Wilson. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Rev. Len Wyatt officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
