Danny Torrey, age 77 of Otter Lake, MI passed away March 16, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services were 12 PM Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Watertown Center Bible Church with Pastor Clifford Jordan officiating. Family received visitors 2-8 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Avram Funeral Home and 11 AM until time of service Friday, at the church. Internment will take place at North Grove Cemetery with military honors conducted by Mayville American Legion Post #181 and VFW Post #10884. Suggested memorials may be made to Saginaw Veterans Hospital. Danny was born January 5, 1938 to Ralph and Ruby (Fuller) Torrey. He was a Marine Sergeant and took part in rifle competitions. Danny loved target shooting and shooting muzzle loaders with the Clan of the Wolverines at the Columbiaville Sportsmen Club. He retired in the early 90s from James Lumber in Flint, MI. Danny is survived by daughter, Michelle Fox of Davison, MI, son, Kevin (Donna) Torrey of Millington, MI; seven grandchildren: Zack Torrey, Kaitlyn (Noah) Webster, Madison Fox, Josh (Angelique) Wooldridge, Nicole (Craig) Stiff, Noah Fox and Jesse Fox; five great-grandchildren: Anika, Jackson, Alexis, Ian, and Emmitt. He was also survived by special companion, Virginia Greenman. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings: Ennis Weidenhamer, Gertrude Austin, and Duane Torrey.
