Marilyn Jane Bodeis, age 76, of Mayville, MI passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at home with her family, from complications of a stroke. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 PM Tuesday April 7, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Pastor Terry Balogh officiating. Family will receive visitors from 1 PM Tuesday April 7, 2015 until time of service at the church. Internment will take place at Fremont Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran church, Mayville, MI, St Luke’s Lutheran school of Vassar, MI, and Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw, MI. Marilyn was born July 12, 1938 in North Branch, MI. Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Mayville High School. Marilyn was baptized November 7, 1948 and was received into full communion at St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mayville, MI, by the solemn rite of Confirmation on the 13th day of May, 1951. She married Richard Bodeis on September 11, 1954 in the parsonage of St Lukes Lutheran Church, in Vassar, MI. Marilyn worked at Mayville Molding, Frankenmuth State Bank and retired from Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Co. She loved cooking and baking, sharing good times with family and friends, and especially loved spending time with her grand children. She is survived by her husband: Richard of Mayville, MI, three daughters: Karen (Michael) Weiss of Frankenmuth, MI, Krystal (Mitchell) LaBair of Mayville, MI, Kimberly (Ronald) Arnold of Caro, MI, one brother: Gary and fiance (Vicki) Bodeis of Manton, MI, three sisters: Beverly and companion (Wayne) Brief of Albion, MI, Ann (James) Spannagel of Fairgrove, MI, Carrol Cryderman of Caro, MI, sister-in-law: Carolyn Walker of Vassar, MI, eight grandchildren: Julie Weiss, Jeremy (Jolene) Weiss, Jeffrey (Ronda) Weiss, Carla (Paul) Schultz, Seth (Missy) LaBair, Sarah (Steve) Brockett, Andy Hecht, and Matthew (Vanessa) Hecht, and eleven great grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by parents: Mother and Step-Father Leonard and Theo ( Ihrke-Walker) Bodeis, one brother: Keith Walker, one grandson: Jason Rumph, and son-in-law: Kevin Hecht.
