HURON COUNTY — At about 6:39 a.m.. Friday, the Huron County Sheriff’s Department was dispatchd to an accdient M-142, west of Schock Road, in Sand Beach Township in Huron County.
According to the preliminary investigation, an eastbound 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Aaron Herrington, 26, of Bad Axe, swerved right to avoid impacting with another eastbound vehicle and hit a tree.
“He had to be freed from his vehicle, which was basically ripped in half, by the Harbor Beach Fire Department,” explained Huron Sheriff Kelly Hanson. “Other than the fire department cutting (part of) the roof off to free the victim, that’s how the car was after impact.”
Herrington was transported to the Harbor Beach Hospital by Eastern Huron Ambulance. There were no other injuries. Investigation into this accident will continue.
