FOSTORIA — An event that celebrates community pride and family values is in jeopardy of ending.
Fostoria Day organizers are looking for fresh ideas to enliven the one-day event, and for volunteers to help.
“The Fostoria Family Days Festival and other events have been planned as a free day for families. It offers games, activities, entertainment and more,” explained Fostoria Family Days Committee members.
“In order for us to continue, we need help.”
The group needs assistance with children’s games, activities, a parade, setting up and taking down tents, tables and chairs, the stage, and more.
Those who have ideas or those who are interested in volunteering to help are asked to attend the 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, committee meeting at Watertown Township Hall, 9405 Foster Street, Fostoria.
The meeting will include a brain-storming session as well as planning and organizing for the next festival.
The next Fostoria Family Days Festival is being planned for Saturday, July 11.
However, if there is no new interest, this will be the last year for the Fostoria Family Days Festival.
The Fostoria Family Days Committee was organized on October 15, 2007.
