TUSCOLA COUNTY — Although the snow is mostly gone by today (Wednesday) from Tuesday’s storm, it was a memorable one for motorisst that morning.
“We had 35 accidents in about 3 hours,” said Tuscola County Central Dispatch Director Sandra Nielsen.
Accident calls started being reported to dispatch about 5:45 a.m., Tuesday, and continued until about 9 a.m.
“Of those accidents, 33 were PDAs (Property Damage Accidents), and two were personal injury accidents. The injury accidents were not severe,” Nielsen said.
The initial weather forecast Monday called for about an inch of snow, but the city of Caro received much more than that. Caro’s Wastewater Treatment Plan reported eight inches of snow. While Vassar’s Wastewater Treatment Plan reported 6 inches, and the Cass City Wastewater Treatment Plant reported 3 inches.
