TUSCOLA TOWNSHIP — The details of Sunday’s accident in southern Tuscola are still being reviewed by accident reconstructionists.

At about 3:37 p.m., Tuscola County deputies were dispatched for a two-vehicle accident at Vassar and Ormes roads in Tuscola Township.

According to the preliminary report, deputies found the vehicle traveling westbound on Ormes Road had stopped for the stop sign but then pulled into the path of a vehicle going northbound on Vassar Road.

The westbound vehicle was driven by Judah Eddy, 20, of Fostoria.

“He (Eddy) and his passenger, and 20-year old female from Fostoria, were severely injured,” said Undersheriff Glen Skrent.

The police report indicated, the northbound vehicle was driven by Jason Chernenko, 33-years old from Birch Run.

“He and his passenger, an eight-year year old male, suffered minor injuries,” said Skrent.

Tuscola County’s accident reconstruction unit is still processing information from the incident.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Reese Police Department, the Vassar Police Department, the Vassar Fire Department, Survival Flight U of M in Ann Arbor, LifeNet out of Saginaw, MMR Ambulance and Fabbro’s Towing of Vassar.
