Casper F. “Cap” Beller of Akron, age 91, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. He was born October 18, 1923 in Silverwood, the son of the late John and Catherine Marie (Eckhardt) Beller. Cap was united in marriage with the former Berniece Blasius on June 29, 1946 at the Unionville Lutheran Church, and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2010. Cap drove school bus for Akron-Fairgrove Schools for over fifty years, was a farmer, and also worked at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. He loved gardening and always enjoyed having his family and friends around him. Cap is survived by his daughter, Susan Bilbey and her husband, Skip; three grandchildren, David Bilbey and his wife, Ann, of Montpelier, Virginia, Ryan Bilbey and his wife, Kristin, of Glennie, Leslie Haskin and her husband, Steve, of Kingsley; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Molly Massoll of Bay City; one brother-in-law, Gary Blasius of Fairgrove. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Katie Gorde, Milly Kukulski, Annie Kern, Fred, Henry, Alex and John Beller. In keeping with Cap’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairgrove. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.
