Eileen May English of Caro, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Amazing Love AFC Home in Caro. She was born July 7, 1917 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the daughter of the late Willian H. and Etta (Hawley) Williams. Eileen was a graduate of Trenary High School in Trenary, Michigan, and on August 14, 1937 she was united in marriage with Claude English in Escanaba. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1995. Eileen was employed for many years at Moore Drug Store in Caro, and later at Everts Card Shop in Caro. She was an avid card player and loved feeding and watching birds. She also enjoyed traveling, which included numerous trips to Texas and Alaska. Eileen in survived by one daughter, Nancy Hutchinson and her husband, Charles, of Manning, South Carolina; two granddaughters, Beth Christiansen and her husband, Karsten, of Fairfax, Virginia, Kate Kessler and her husband, Jeffery, of Chandler, Arizona; and one great-grandson, Tyler Kessler of Chandler, Arizona. In addition to her parents and husband, Eileen was preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Charles Hutchinson in 1975. In keeping with Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the donor’s favorite charity.
