Margaret E. Pollard, Marlette

Margaret E. Pollard, age 102, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Marlette Hospice Residence in Marlette. Mrs. Pollard has lived in the Marlette area the past five years and was previously from Clifford. She was born May 7, 1913 in Riggsville, Michigan daughter to the late Otto and Elizabeth (Banks) Brasgalla. She marred Stanley F. Pollard November 22, 1947 in Marlette. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1992. Margaret was a long time member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Methodist Women Auxiliary. She also was a member of Lapeer County Extension. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by: Dale Brown (Son) of Farmington, Richard and Jill Pollard (son) of Roy Washington, Kenneth and DiAnna Pollard (son) of Clifford, Ethel Taylor (sister) of Cheboygan, several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley, her father, Otto and her mother, Elizabeth, son Robert, seven brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, with Rev. Jim McQuarie officiating. Burial will be in the West Burlington Cemetery in Silverwood, Michigan. Memorials may be donated to Hannah D. Wolfe Retirement Residence, 2785 Angle St., Marlette,MI 48453. Visitation will be held on Sunday 1 pm to 7 pm and Monday 10 am to 11 am at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette.
