Esther May Sherman, age 87, of Fostoria died August 7, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Esther was born May 10, 1928 in Columbiaville, the daughter of the late Fred and Ola Oliver. She later married L.J. Ivan Sherman on May 26, 1945. She was a member of the Fostoria United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge 120, and Fostoria Mother’s Club. She served as a union representative while working in the Mayville School District. Esther enjoyed traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Esther is survived by her children: Linda (Mike) Johnson, Wilma Kasper, Larry Sherman, Lorraine (Terry) Wheaton, Steve (Monica) Sherman. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild, close friends Tim Foley, Diane Meir, and a host of other family friends who will miss her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Don, Ken, Ralph, Howard, and Babe. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville where friends may visit on Wednesday from 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Pastor Kay Leitelt Officiating.
