Louise “Zia” J. Spencer, age 93, of Vassar died August 16, 2015 at McLaren – Lapeer with her family beside her. Louise was born July 28, 1922 in Vassar, the daughter of the late Augustine and Teresa Tremonti. She later married Archie Spencer. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, but most of all spending time with her nieces and nephews. Louise is survived by her siblings: Eli Tremonti, and Jean (Herbert) Rodriguez, many nieces and nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews. She is also survived by her close friends Ruth Ann Fabbro, Angie Torres, Sherry Briggs, and a host of other close friends and family that will miss her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Eva, and sister in-law Virginia. Funeral service Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 6:30 PM from Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville, where friends may visit Thursday 4:30 PM until the time of service. Cremation will follow the services and her cremains will be buried beside her husband in Wood Lawn Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Louise may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
