Richard E. Brigham of Vassar, age 77, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Pine River Health Care Center of Saint Louis, MI. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Avram Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Parkin officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-8 PM and Wednesday 10 AM till time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Internment will be at Fremont Township Cemetery, at a later date. Richard was born June 16, 1938 in Caro to Clarence and Anna (Bennick) Brigham. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1955 and was a member of the Wahjamega Country Church in Caro. He married Gladys Roach on August 18, 1978. Richard loved bee- keeping, bowling, playing cards, and story telling. Richard retired from Michigan Sugar Company Caro Plant with 45 years of service. Richard is survived by his loving wife Gladys, five children: Tim (Jenny) Brigham of Caro, Karen Urban of Deford, Kim (Mark) Reminder of Saginaw, Kathy (Dan) Guinther of Mayville, and Jim Reavey of Kingston; one sister: Karen (Ken) Lynch of Mayville; seven grandchildren: Tayler, Autumn, Landen, Kristina, Nichole, James, and Sean; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret (Harmon) Brigham, daughter Barbara Jean, sister Mable, and grandson Dakota. Friends may share an online condolence at: www.avramfuneralhome.com.
