Isabelle Campbell Cameron – Vassar, formerly of Kingston and Oak Beach

Isabelle Campbell Cameron, age 86, of Vassar, formerly of Kingston and Oak Beach, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Cartwright Hospice in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral Home-Vassar. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be considered to the Human Development Commission-Tuscola County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Mrs. Cameron was born August 25, 1928 in River Rouge, Michigan, the daughter of James and Anne (Hervey) Cadzow, Sr. She attended River Rouge High School graduating with the class of 1946. Isabelle married the love of her life, Robert Walter Cameron on January 31, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. Sadly he preceded her in death on March 29, 1986. Isabelle retired from Kingston Insurance Company as an Insurance Adjuster in 1986. She was a past member of the Michigan Order of Eastern Star Kendron Chapter #33 and the Caro Loyal Order of Moose. The majority of Isabelle’s time was spent with the love of her life Robert until the time of his death in 1986. She enjoyed spending time with her family, kids and grandkids. Always a people person, Isabelle enjoyed musicals, bowling, volunteering and big band music and she could be seen drinking her favorite drink Diet Pepsi. Isabelle had happy memories of camping at Oak Beach County Park and special get-aways. She was full of good humor, always smiling, very friendly and whistled a lot. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Deborah Thompson, Gloria and husband John Morris, Karen and husband Daniel Mashike; grandchildren; William and Matthew Morris, Joshua and Jennifer Thompson; Christopher Mashike; Elizabeth Rolando; Angelique Mashike; seven great-grandchildren, special nephew Joseph Pinon, and many friends. Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Cameron; two brothers; grandson, Joseph Thompson Jr.; and son-in-law, Joseph Thompson Sr. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home or at Martinfuneralhome.com.
