Darlene Lynn Ganley of Cass City, age 53, passed away at her home on Friday, November 22, 2013. Darlene was born September 24, 1960 to Billie Lee and Dorothy (Barrons) Corl, and was a housekeeper at Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City for twelve years. She was an avid animal lover, including her horses, dogs, and any stray that needed a good home. She was honest to a fault and always thought of others before herself.
Darlene is survived by one son, Jason Ganley of Colorado; her mother, Dorothy Gifford and her husband, Larry, of Ovid; her father, Billie Corl and his wife, Shirley, of Caro; two sisters, Bonnie Stout and her husband, Ron, of Owosso and Dawn Pierce and her husband, Jim, of Flint; two brothers, Bill Corl and his wife, Lisa, of South Carolina and Dan Corl and his wife, Kelly, of Elsie; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Lottie Corl, and John and Elizabeth Newton, all of Mayville; and nephew, Nicholas Tewksbury of Caro.
In keeping with Darlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Tuscola County Conservation Club (Caro Gun Club), 1060 Gun Club Road, Caro, beginning at 12:00 noon. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Hills and Dales General Hospital, 4675 Hill Street, Cass City, MI 48726 in memory of Darlene.
