IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS — The Christmas decorations went up in downtown Caro on Monday. Caro Department of Public Works employees Gerard Schniers and Brad Nelson estimated they decorated about 55 streetlights. Schniers said this will probably be his last time hanging the decorations, as he expects to retire in February after 36 years with Caro’s DPW. Nelson, on the other hand, was helping decorate for the first time after being hired by the DPW in January 2013. Above, Schniers, left, fastens a garland to a Caro streetlight while Nelson holds a second zip tie.
