Dora A. Rushlo of Cass City, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her home, following a lengthy illness. She was born April 25, 1937 in Shabbona, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Ervin) Arnold. Peg was a graduate of Marlette High School, and on April 25, 1959 she was united in marriage with Duane Rushlo in Cass City. She was employed as the Ellington Township Treasurer, was a packer and shipper for Rushlo Used Parts, and retired as manager for Thumb Office Supply. Peg was a member of the Thumb Area Old Engine and Tractor Women’s Auxiliary and a member and historian of the International Harvester Collectors Chapter 11 of Michigan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, camping and playing word search. Peg is survived by her husband of more than fifty-four years, Duane Rushlo of Cass City; two children and their spouses, Diane & Dave Wilder of Cass City, Darwin & Naida Rushlo of Caro; eight grandchildren, Jake & Amanda Wilder of Cass City, Edward Rushlo of Reese, Jason & Kelsi Wilder of Harrod, Ohio, Robert & Paige Rushlo of Caro, Amanda Rushlo of Caro, Adam & Maria Wiles of Kalamazoo, Aaron & Fallon Wiles of Auburn, Kristen & Matt Riley of Owosso; six great-grandchildren, Logan Rushlo, Lauren Rushlo, Parker Wilder, Sidney Wiles, Alexzander Riley, Nova Riley; two sisters, Edith McKenney of Sandusky, and Sadie Kasserman and her husband, Vernon, of Pigeon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Arnold; one brother-in-law, Don McKenney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Dale Bullock officiating. Burial will follow at the Ellington Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Rushlo Family Discretionary Fund.
