Kip Scott Payea, age 39 years, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 7, 1974. Kip was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting. He enjoyed camping and was a proud participant of Dead End Mud Boggers. He had been employed by Astech and Grede Foundries in Vassar. He married the former Susan Duby and she survives him. He also leaves 3 children: Tyler Payea, Briana Payea and Brooke Payea, his parents: William F. and Cheryl E. (Wilber) Payea, a sister, Renee Elaine (Matt) Halpin, a half-sister, Wendy Gallien, his father and mother-in-law, Morse and Debra Duby, a brother-in-law, Eric Duby and a sister-in-law, Jennifer (Tim) Perry. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Payea. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Lifeline Victory Center, 800 State Street, Vassar, Michigan, with Pastor Wally Reames officiating. The family will be present at the church on Thursday to greet visitors from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
