KINGSTON TWP — Minor injuries were sustained Thursday afternoon when a Mayville man failed to yield at the corner of Phillips and Gilford Road in Kingston Township.
Trevor Pierce, 23, of Mayville was traveling west bound on Gilford Road at around 3 p.m. when he failed to yield at Phillips Road, striking the vehicle of Robert Dice, 40 of Kingston.
Pierce sustained minor injuries and sought his own medical attention.
“It is a marked intersection,” said Kingston Police Chief Dave Lich. “He was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.”
Kingston Police was assisted by Kwik Start Towing and Bullet Auto. The Tuscola County Road Commission was called to replace the sign at the intersection.
