Nancy E. Gyomory, 77, of Deford, died following a long illness on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Hillside Adult Foster Care Home. She was born July 3, 1936 at home in Deford to Marton and Elizabeth (Kovacs) Paladi. She married Paul Albert Gyomory on December 7, 1963 in Novesta Church of Christ. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Nancy graduated from Cass City High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Bauer Candy Company for over 20 years retiring in 1988. Nancy also worked with Paul on their dairy farm. She loved gardening, sewing, working puzzles and playing cards, especially Euchre. Nancy also loved animals especially their many dogs and cats over the years. Nancy enjoyed cooking, baking and sharing many delicious meals with family and friends. Nancy is survived by her husband, Paul of Deford; sister, Mary Gyomory of Kingston; sister-in-law, Beatrice Gyomory of Canton; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Alex Paladi, Sr., John Paladi; sisters: Julia Amberboy, Thelma “Irma” Gaydos. Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Pastor Jay Barsaleau, Home and Hospice Advantage Chaplain officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers for Mrs. Gyomory: Alex Paladi Jr., Ben Fontana; Active pallbearers: Eddie Paladi, Joe Gyomory, Tom Peruski, Douglas Gyomory, Frank Gyomory, Jackson Gyomory.
