Recall petition hearing
RICHVILLE — The Tuscola County Election Commission’s clarity – factual hearing on proposed recall petitions filed against three Denmark Township officials is 8:30 a.m. Monday, Tuscola County Probate Courtroom, 440 N. State St., Caro.
The election commission will make the determination if the petitions meet criteria to move forward or not. If they approve the wording, then the next step is gathering enough signatures to put the matter to a vote of the people. If the commission determines the petitions do not meet the criteria, the matter is dropped, but another petition could be filed later.
The proposed recall petitions were filed by Gary Schoenow with Tuscola County Clerk Jodi Fetting against Supervisor Donald W. Petro, Clerk Charles J. Heinlein, and Treasurer Dennis E. Weber.
