JOHN DAVID OGGER, Royal Oak, Ferndale and Detroit

John David Ogger age 81, former resident of Royal Oak, Ferndale and Detroit, passed away on May 19, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was born in Union, New Jersey, and was preceded in death by his parents Harold Hubert Ogger and Ruth Naomi Ogger, and his older brothers, Harold Richard Ogger and Robert Ogger.  He is survived by his children, Sara Jean Ogger of New York City and David Barrett Ogger of Lapeer, Michigan.  A graduate of Deckerville High School and Wayne State University, Ogger worked as an analytical chemist for the Detroit District office of the FDA, where he was a leading expert in dioxins, and for industry.  Mr. Ogger was a Commissioner for regional Boy Scouts of America councils in Detroit and Tucson, and was also active with the BSA in Mena, AR.  His final resting place is Indianfields Township Cemetery of Caro, Michigan, beside his parents.  A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Gregg Mayberry officiating.
