Tuscola County Court News for 7/19/14

DISTRICT COURT

Eric Michael Thompson, 21, LaGrange, Kentucky, is charged with attempted home invasion – 3rd degree; and malicious destruction of a building – less than $200. Pretrial is July 21 and preliminary exam is July 28.

Eric Uy Jean Truax, 23, Vassar, is charged with home invasion – first degree; weapons – firearms – larceny; and two counts of weapons – felony firearms. Pretrial is July 14 and preliminary exam is July 21.

Joseph Allen Nickens, 66, Kingston, is charged with eight counts of criminal sexual conduct – first degree (personal injury). Pretrial is July 21, pretrial is July 28.

Donavan James Colden, 18, Millington, is charged with police officer – fleeing – 3rd degree – vehicle code; controlled substance – delivery/manufacture of marijuana; controlled substance – possession of marijuana; motor vehicle – operation without security; and operate – unregistered vehicle. Pretrial July 14 and preliminary exam is July 21.

CIRCUIT COURT

Brian Adam Maskell, 27, Caro, pled guilty to interfering with electronic communication. Sentence date to be set.

Rocky Lee Janowski, 51, Millington, pled no contest to stalking – aggravated (habitual offender 2nd offense). Sentence date to be set.

Nicholas Dale French, 36, Kingston, was sentenced to two days, credit for two days, 36 months probation, 180 days on a SCRAM tether and ordered to pay $698 fines and costs for assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault).

Aaron Allen Pacynski, 23, Bay City, pled guilty to controlled substance – possession of marijuana – 2nd or subsequent offense. Sentence date to be set.

John Klein Shafor, 58, Mayville, was sentenced to 60 days, credit for two days, 60 months probation, 480 hours community service and ordered to pay $948 fines and costs for operating while intoxicated (3rd offense).

David William Bozeman III, 25, Clio, was sentenced to 12 months delayed and ordered to pay $698 fines and costs for controlled substance – possession of marijuana (2nd or subsequent offense).
