Doris K. Kundinger, age 87, of Sebewaing, passed away Thursday morning, September 4, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
Doris was born August 12, 1927 in Amelith, Michigan, the daughter of the late John C. and Alma B. (Keidel) Walter. She was united in marriage to Arnold H. Kundinger on May 8, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church, Amelith, in Bay County.
Doris was a lifelong farmer in the Sebewaing area. She was a member of New Salem Lutheran Church and a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. She was a member of the Farm Bureau. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling, quilting and playing cards.
Survived by his daughters: Linda (Edward) Hamilton-Jasman of Richville, Carolyn Keipinger of Reese, Lois (Jeff) Kroll of Sebewaing, Evelyn Stringer of Sebewaing and Janice (Arnold “A.J.”) Brown of Snover; daughter-in-law, Vicki Kundinger of Elk Rapids; sister-in-law, Lila Walter; 14 grandchildren; 1 step granddaughter; 13 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends: Lila Bolton, April Day and Ricky Wise.
Preceded in death by her husband, Arnold H. Kundinger; son, Duane Kundinger; sister, Harriet (Ed) Rogers; brother, Marvin Walter; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Visitation is Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm. The funeral will be Sunday, September 7, 2014 at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 2pm until the time of service at 3pm. Burial will take place privately at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.
