MINNEAPOLIS — With the anticipation of fall flavors in full-force, the Dairy Queen system, a Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B) company, debuts an interesting twist with two Blizzard Treats and asks fans to vote early and vote often.
This September, for the first time, the Dairy Queen system is featuring two September Blizzard of the Month treats with the return of the classic Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat and the all-new Apple Pie Blizzard Treat.
In true fan-loving form, the Dairy Queen system is asking fans across America to try both, vote and help decide which flavor reigns supreme at DQBlizzardBattle.com.

Queen Corporation (ADQ). “Instead of just creating an Apple Pie Blizzard Treat and Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat this fall, we thought like our fans and created an Apple vs. Pumpkin Blizzard Treat Battle.”
The battle is most intense in two communities known for apples and pumpkins. The Dairy Queen system is celebrating hometown pride by teaming up with the mayors of Wenatchee, Wash., known for apples; and Caro, Mich., known for pumpkins, for the Dairy Queen Blizzard Treat Battle.
Mayor Frank Kuntz and Mayor Dick Pouliot are placing a friendly wager on which flavor will reign supreme, and fan votes could change the fate of the towns forever. The town with the most votes will become the Official Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat or Apple Pie Blizzard Treat Capital of the World. The losing mayor buys the winning Blizzard Treat for both communities.
“We’re excited to see how our fans assemble friends and family and sway the undecided to crown a town in this ultimate fall flavor showdown,” said Westrum. Fans can connect, vote and show their support using #VoteApple or #VotePumpkin. Voting ends September 29, 2014.
The classic Pumpkin Pie Blizzard Treat is the perfect combination of fall flavors with the spicy sweetness of pumpkin pie mix, pie crust chips and creamy DQ® vanilla soft serve finished with whipped topping and nutmeg. The new Apple Pie Blizzard Treat includes scrumptious apple pie topping, cinnamon sugar crisps and creamy DQ vanilla soft serve completed with whipped topping and ground cinnamon. There’s no wrong way to vote.
