CARO – The Caro Exchange Club will welcome the entire community to enjoy a walk on the Exchange Club Forest Nature Trails this Saturday, September 20th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 8th Annual Exchange Club Trail Walk. During this year’s Trail Walk, several area V.I.P. “Celebrities” will walk the trails in support of the many community service projects provided by the Exchange Club throughout the year, including the further development of the Forest Nature Trails for the public’s enjoyment. Walkers are invited to walk along with one of the V.I.P.s (see list below and time they plan to walk), or walk anytime during the day in behalf of one of the “Celebrities”. The Caro High Tiger Mascot will make a surprise appearance as a very special “Celebrity” walker. Participants will receive a free Trail Walk T-shirt after they walk, while they last, and enjoy a hot dog, chips and bottle of water. Children and youth walkers will also receive a Dairy Queen ice cream certificate. Eclectic Junction will provide music at the trail entrance in the a.m. There are no charges for participants. Donations are voluntary.
The trails feature many Scout and community projects such as tree and bird identification signs, foot bridges, benches and bird houses. The trails wind through the natural beauty of the over 80 year forest, a haven to all wildlife. The Forest is located along M-24 and Gun Club Road.
