Shirley May Nash of Caro, age 67, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 29, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Roscommon. She was born February 27, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of Shirley (Green) Keezer and the late Edwin Nash. Shirley was a homemaker and a happy woman who loved horses, shooting pool, playing bingo, dancing, drawing and working in the garden. She is survived by three children, Terry and Raymond Johnson of Caro, Daniel Wesley Miners of Flint, Susan Miners and her fiancé, Lenny, of Roscommon; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her mother, Shirley Keezer of Caro; three siblings, Diana Woodruff of Caro, Nolan Nash of Caro, Charles Keezer of Caro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two children, Larry “Tuffy” Miners and Cindy Miners; four sisters, Phyllis, Carol, Neva and Arlene; and one brother, Steven and her former husband, Lawrence George Miners. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Caro VFW Post #4164 with Chris Taylor officiating. A luncheon will follow this service, also at the VFW Post.
