Travis Wilson of Caro, age 29, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Covenant Health Care – Harrison in Saginaw. He was born June 9, 1984 in Lapeer, the son of Mark Wilson and Sharon (Randall) Wilson. Travis was a student at Highland Pines School, graduating in 2010. He loved nature and animals, and enjoyed listening to music, going to the movies, eating cotton candy and attending the Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival parade. Travis is survived by his mother, Sharon Wilson of Caro; his father, Mark Wilson and his wife, Monserrat, of Kingsley; two brothers, Brandon Wilson of Sheppard and Matthew Wilson of Caro; his grandparents, Marge & Harry Randall of Vassar and Dorothea G. Wilson of Caro; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, as well as his beloved cat, Cheeto. Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather, James A. Wilson, Sr. on April 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Deford Community Church with Pastor Dale Byers officiating. Burial will follow the funeral luncheon at East Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Highland Pines School.
