Jack William Sutton, Millington
Jack William Sutton of Millington passed away late Thursday evening December 11, 2014 at his Millington residence, Jack was 70. Jack was born on May 25, 1944 in Los Angeles California, and was the son of Norman and Leona (Carlson) Sutton. Jack was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army. He had been employed for 37 years with the Buick Motor Division of General Motors. On May 30, 1970 Jack married Mary I. Mikolajski, and together he and Mary have celebrated 44 years of marriage. Jack was a charter member of the Tuscola County Amateur Radio Club, UAW Local 599, and was also a member of the Purple Heart Club. Jack leaves his wife Mary, three children, John and wife Debbie Sutton, Lisa Sutton-Carlton and Jeff Sutton, five grandchildren; Amber, Petty Officer 2nd Class Brett and wife Alaina, Brock and Tyler, two great grandchildren Mason and Emma. Jack leaves also two brothers and a sister-in-law, Norman and wife Debbie Sutton, Edward Sutton, a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Scott Kehmtong, he leaves as well nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents Jack is also preceded in death by a sister Betty Jean, and a brother Billy. The Sutton family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Hanlin Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Tuesday, December 16 from 12:00 pm until the services begin at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Jack’s funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. Pastor James Bruner will deliver the funeral message and the closing committal prayer at the cemetery. Burial will follow funeral services at the Pinegrove Cemetery in Arbela Township. The committal services at the cemetery will be concluded with Military Honors conducted by the Conrad-Wager & Keene American Legion Post 164 of Millington.
