Kenneth A. Daenzer, Vassar, Michigan
Kenneth A. Daenzer, age 74 years, passed away on December 12, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper in Saginaw. He was born in Reese, Michigan on January 9, 1940 to the late Arthur P. and Elsie M. (Kern) Daenzer. Ken was a warranty analyst for Saginaw Steering Gear and retired in March of 1992 after 32 years of service. He loved farming with his uncles in Reese, gardening, raising Cannas flowers and working in his flower beds, camping, visiting with people and his family. He enjoyed being an active member of First Baptist Church in Vassar. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Marjorie Ann Hemingway, whom he married on June 24, 1961; 3 children: Roger (Diane) Daenzer, Cheryl (David) Griesing and Lisa (Dave) Streeter; 3 grandchildren: Gabe Daenzer, Garrett Daenzer and Jacob Griesing; his siblings: Ruth Daenzer, Chrissy Kaiser-Malicoat, Gene (Barb) Daenzer and Dottie Daenzer; and a special aunt, Alice Kern. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Daenzer and his step-mother, Meta Daenzer. Funeral and committal services were held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Vassar. The Rev. David G. Somers officiated. Private burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Vassar.
