Elvyn (Junior) Colosky, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, MI, with Pastor Keith Mead presiding. Family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Avram Funeral home and Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Internment will be in Fremont Township Cemetery with military honors by Mayville American Legion Post #181, and Mayville/ Vassar VFW Post #10884. Suggested memorials may be made to the family fund for Mayville Community Schools. Elvyn was born July 5, 1927 to Elvyn E. and Okamay (Reeves) Colosky in Vassar, MI. He was an Army Veteran. “Junior” loved farming, John Deere tractors, roller skating, and snow skiing. “Junior” owned and operated the Coloskys Market for many years, he enjoyed visiting with his customers at the store. He enjoyed sharing his vacations with his nephews. He is survived by one brother: Jerry Colosky of Vassar, MI, two sisters: Shirley Schempp of Ypsilanti, MI, and Bonnie (Darr) Schott of Cave Creek, AZ, and many nieces and nephews.
