Calvin James Colman, a lifelong Millington resident, after a long battle with cancer crossed over from the arms of his loving wife into the arms of his loving Savior. Calvin was 65. Calvin was born on September 3, 1949 in Flint, Michigan and was the son of the late Willard and Joyce (Hope) Colman. He graduated from Millington High School in 1967. Calvin enlisted in the US-Army and served our country during his tour in Vietnam. While serving, he was awarded the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart for being wounded during his tour. Calvin owned and operated his own siding business known as Miltown Siding Company. On December 9, 1996 Calvin married Miss Gera Almedilla, and together she and Calvin have celebrated 18 years of marriage. Calvin leaves his wife, Gera; children: Victor Colman, Emilia Colman, Ivanna Colman, Calvin and wife Jessica Colman, Amanda and husband Keith Fobear, Jessica and husband Dustin Glenn, Jenny and husband Moses Garner, Calvin also leaves his brother, Burton Colman; a sister and brother-in-law, Connie and husband Karl Titsworth; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family, and friends. The family and friends gathered Friday March 6, 2015 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. and at 7:00 pm Friday evening, there was a time of sharing and celebrating Calvin’s life.
