HURON COUNTY — At about 8:05 a.m., Monday, Huron Central Dispatch requested the Huron County Sheriff Department and an ambulance service respond to an accident at Tower Automotive in the Village of Elkton.
“Apparently, a 61-year old Sebewaing man and a 60-year old Port Austin man were working on a large high-pressure airline when it separated and injured both,” said Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson. “Both were taken to Scheurer Hospital by Elkton and Scheurer Ambulance Services.”
However, they were each eventually airlifted to out of the area to other hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
“MIOSHA (Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration) has been advised of the incident,” said Hanson noting that his office will have no future information on the incident.
