EMMY DOSSER, Frankenmuth

Emma Dosser, 91, of Frankenmuth, died Thursday evening, November 14, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw. She was born January 21, 1922 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Ryle) Mohr. On December 15, 1979 she was married to Robert C. Dosser in Saginaw. He predeceased her February 17, 1988. Mrs. Dosser farmed on the family farm in Juniata Township, Tuscola County and later was employed for many years at the Bavarian Haus Motel in Frankenmuth. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese. Her hobbies included playing cards and golfing. Surviving are her two daughters and one son, Jan Carpenter of Vassar; Pamela Schlicht-Kienitz and her husband Russell of Frankenmuth; and Kurt Schlicht and his wife Rebecca of Lady Lake, Florida; Step-children, Sandra Conner and her husband Andy of Lansing; and Larry Dosser and his wife Elaine of Centerville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Also surviving is her brothers, Harold Mohr of Midland; and Ronald Mohr and his wife Carol of Lehigh Acres, Florida; and many loving nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins. In addition to her parents and husband Robert, Emma was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Day and Arlene Mohr and her special friend, John Stoick. Cremation has taken place and a Service to celebrate her life will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese. Rev. Tom Senge will officiate with private family committal services to take place later in the Midland City Cemetery in Midland. Emma’s family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Christ Lutheran Church in Reese. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, 9940 Saginaw St. Reese.
