Donna Jean Rohleder of Caro, age 78, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 at her daughter’s home, following a lingering illness. Donna was born August 5, 1935 in Caro, the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie (Kauffman) Klinesmith. She grew up in Mayville and graduated from Mayville High School in 1954. Following graduation, Donna was employed at the Caro Laundry where she would meet her future husband, Rudolph Dadacki, and was united in marriage in 1956. Rudolph preceded her in death and she later married Floyde Rohleder, who also preceded her in death. She spent the majority of her working career in housekeeping at the Caro Regional Center and spent her later years working for Allen’s Home Care in Cass City as a live-in companion. Donna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and a former member of the Caro Moose Lodge. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her flower garden, especially her red geraniums. She was an attentive neighbor and enjoyed family gatherings, country music and bird watching. Donna is survived by eight children and their spouses, LoAnn & Larry Bridges of Battle Creek, Michael Dadacki of Gladwin, Margaret & Tony Elder of Carrollton, Georgia, Marsha & Matt Perez of Caro, Lorraine & John Shotwell of Edwardsburg, Richard Dadacki of Gladwin, Darlene Whitehair of Caro, Laura Dadacki of Caro; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Miriam Vargo of Caro, Elsie Stratton of Clio; one brother and his wife, Ray & Sharon Klinesmith of Millington; many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Katherine Dadacki; two brothers, Charles and Roy Klinesmith; one brother-in-law, George Stratton. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. In keeping with Donna’s wishes, cremation will follow the service with burial at a later time at West Dayton Cemetery in Mayville. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
