John Fierros of Caro, age 58, passed away suddenly Friday, November 29, 2013 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw. John was born June 30, 1955 in La Costas, Texas. He grew up in Fairgrove, Michigan and lived the rest of his life in Caro. He worked as full time drywall finisher throughout his life. However, in his spare time he enjoyed watching the History Channel and Animal Planet, he loved to share the facts that he learned with his family. He also enjoyed watching Pickers and often going on small trips with his children, his favorites were the zoo, Hobby Lobby, antique stores, Buffalo Wild Wings and craft shows. He was very humorous and notorious for making jokes. He made jokes just about anything. One of his favorite things to do was paint and do crafts, simply because he could make anything out of nothing. Examples being cars made out of cigarette boxes and drawing elaborate things from memory. He didn’t just paint, he painted anything that he could get his hands on. Anything wood and useless he would make beautiful and unique, always eager to do more projects. He also made unique jewelry and hair clips and painted peanuts, making them look like people and animals. He would always give these away as gifts and because of his generous and happy personality, he would make something extra special for everyone close to him. He was a man who loved the simple things in life and will be truly missed by his daughter, Billie Fierros and his son, Rico Fierros, the mother of his children, Doris and his five siblings and their spouses: Bonifasico and Sylvia of Flint, Geronimo and Tammy of Fairgrove, Mary and Terry German of Caro, Cipriano of Gagetown, and Hortencia “Tanga” and Kirk Hendrickson of Lapeer. John was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Joseph Fierros.
