Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Petiprin Mayville

Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Petiprin, of Mayville, MI passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Schnecksville, PA with her loving family at her side. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Mills Memorial Baptist Church in Mayville, MI with Pastor Sam Reece officiating. The family will receive visitors 2 – 8 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, MI and 10 AM until time of the service Saturday at the church. Internment will take place at Rich Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mills Memorial Baptist Church. Betty was born November 30, 1924 in Mayville, MI the daughter of Jay and Ruby (McBride) Morrison. She graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1942, married Vincent Petiprin in 1943, and was a lifelong resident of Mayville. Betty was a homemaker and a long time member of Mills Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the piano for church services. Betty loved spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed cooking, painting, and basket weaving. She is survived by her son William (Celia) Petiprin of Schnecksville, PA, five granddaughters; Charlotte Keller, Tami Travis, Susan Travis of Lapeer, MI, Victoria Leamy, Emily Petiprin of Downingtown, PA, three step grandsons Douglas Travis formerly of Lapeer, MI, Edward Maxwell of Columbus, Ohio, Nicholas Maxwell of Allentown, PA, and eight great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Ruby and Jay Morrison, husband; Vincent Petiprin, son; David Lee Petiprin, and daughter; Judith Ann Travis.
