Linda Anna (Neumeyer) Duncanson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, pastor and niece, Ann, on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the age of 95. Linda Neumeyer was born April 17, 1918, and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Frankenlust. She spent her early years on the family farm and then worked in Saginaw at Davis Drugs. She married Pete Duncanson in 1956, and they moved to Caro where she became an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In 1958 they moved to Mayville. Following Pete’s death in 1975, Linda and the children moved to Caro and she worked for Wm. Manasse Jeweler and then at Bronner’s in Frankenmuth. She spent the last five years of her life being loved and cared for in her home at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Linda had a strong faith and lived that faith even in her final hours. She loved to work in church activities and for the beautification of the church property. She was well known for her love for gardening and her volunteer work for the Bethesda Resale Store in Saginaw, the Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth, and the Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival Committee. She had many other interests and talents including Tiger Baseball, golfing, sewing, crocheting, and table decorating. Linda leaves behind her three children, Jean & John Kirkpatrick and their children, Cara & Tim Snell and Kevin Kirkpatrick of Washington, Marge of Northville, and Pete & Michelle Duncanson and their children, James, Robert & Emily, Nathan, and Nikki & Raymond Hawkins of Tennessee; five beautiful great-granddaughters; her sister-in-law, Esther Neumeyer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Stephen; one brother, Alvin; and two sisters, Selma and Dorothy. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
