Dale Frances Rae of Caro, age 58, passed away suddenly, Friday, February 14, 2014 at Caro Community Hospital. Dale was born February 7, 1956 in Caro, the daughter of Marie (Blinke) LaPratt and the late Frank D. LaPratt. She graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1974 and began a twenty year career with Caro Community Hospital in medical records. The following fifteen years were spent with Caro Family Physicians as an office manager, until her retirement in 2012. Dale was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro as well as the CattyWampus Quilting Club. She was deeply devoted to her family, loved being with her two grandsons, and spent a lifetime thinking of others first. Dale enjoyed sewing for friends and family, and will be fondly remembered as the Queen of Shopping. She also enjoyed traveling and has spent the last thirty years camping with the same group of friends. Dale is survived by her loving husband of thirty-five years, Al Rae of Caro; one son and his wife, Jason & Theresa Rae of North Branch; two grandchildren, Jacob and Isaiah Rae of North Branch; her mother, Marie LaPratt of Caro; aunt, Lil (Gerald) Guild of Caro; special nieces and nephew, Missie (Don) Jaster of Caro, Jennie (Joe) Weissenborn of Caro; Gregg Guild of Mayville; brother-in-law, Larry (April) Rae of Cape Canaveral, Florida; and a large extended family. In addition to her father, Dale was preceded in death by her uncle, Bernie LaPratt; and grandparents, Floyd & Clara LaPratt, Albert & Marie Blinke. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caro Community Hospital Endowment Foundation or the American Heart Association.
