Murwin Dean (Dutch) Ainsworth was born September 11, 1922 in Unionville, MI, to the late Leo and Anna Ainsworth. He attended the Unionville Schools and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He farmed in the Unionville area most of his working life. He married Clarene Thomas on July 6, 1944 and they became the parents of eight children. Dutch was a member of the Unionville Moravian Church where he served in various capacities, and served on the Unionville School Board for many years. Dutch was an avid fisherman and a tinkerer, able to fix everything we needed. He also loved playing cards, especially euchre. After a prolonged period of decline, he walked into the open arms of his Savior on March 1 at the age of 91 years, 5 months, and 18 days. He is survived by Clarene, his wife of 69 years; his children: Manila (William) Sanders, Dale (Tim) Balzer, Jackie (Darryl) Bell, Virginia (Jack) Dinsmore, Shirley (Dean) Roller, Leo (Roxanne) Ainsworth, Nancy (Brad) Webster, and daughter-in-law Wendy Ainsworth. He left 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ainsworth, four sisters, Marion Pomeroy, Mable Hoffman, Elaine Kerr, Dorothy Bissonet, son Murray, and three great- grandsons: Mathew Sanders, Kirk Dembowske, and Paul Bell. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Unionville Moravian Church, 2711 Cass St., Unionville MI. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 AM – 11 AM. Rev. Dr. Darryl Bell and Rev. Dr. Bill Sanders will officiate, with a luncheon following the service. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Unionville Moravian Church.
