Claudine (Raymond) Partlo, 87, went to her heavenly home March 5, 2014 from her home in Akron, where she was with her family. She was born December 4, 1926, in Burton Township, the daughter of Claude and Ella (Kelly) Raymond. She was raised with her brothers, Lloyd and Eldon, and sisters, Maxine (Rasch) and Betty (Baggs) in Wisner, in the thumb of Michigan. She was married to Wilbur Partlo on January 3, 1946, shortly after his discharge from the Army. They resided in Akron where they raised four children. They loved and supported each other for forty-eight years until she became a widow in 1993. Claudine is survived by two sisters; one son, Gary and wife Diane, three daughters Debbie Meyer, Coiene and husband Tim Tait, and Lynne and husband Jerry Eimers; thirteen grandchildren, Angela, Tim, Dynielle, Summer, Jodi, Jeremy, Kirsten, Kristin, Allison, Michael, Rebecca, Jonathan and David; four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kashton, Dresden and Neila. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers. Claudine was a Christian, devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and lived out her faith by loving those around her. She was an active member of the Akron United Methodist Church and supported many missionaries, Bay Shore Camp and other Christian projects. She enjoyed camping when her children were young and traveling in comfort in later years. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii with her husband. She would want everyone to know that “God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Akron United Methodist Church with Rev. Dorothy Thon officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek. The family received friends at the Akron United Methodist Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to Akron United Methodist Church or Bay Shore Camp in Sebewaing. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro. Friends may share memories, thoughts and prayers online at www.RansfordCollon.com.
