Judith G. Janke, age 72, of Bad Axe, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City. She was born on September 30, 1941 in Saginaw, daughter of the late John and LaPerta (Baker) Schack. She married Kenneth Janke on June 10, 1983 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1992. Judith enjoyed drawing, painting, singing with a choir, and spending time with her loving family and friends. Survived by: son, Steve Schack of Bad Axe; daughter, Margaret (Kevin) Osentoski of Bad Axe; stepsons: Scott, Stuart, Shawn Janke; sisters: JoAnne Kern of Vassar and Jann Morley of Vassar; grandchildren: Joseph Schack and Tiffeny Schack of Port Hope; niece, Michelle (Bob) Sage of Vassar; nephews: Mike (Colleen) Kern of Millington, Tom (Evgeniia) Morley of Portage, Nic (Wendy) Morley of Vassar, Josh Morley of Vassar, and her special friends Max and Rosco. Predeceased by: nephew, Tim Kern. Services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. or Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m.
