Frances Harriett Johnson, age 82, of Fostoria, died Saturday May, 10 2014 at home with her family at her side. The funeral will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Fostoria United Metho-dist Church, with Pastor Kay Leitelt officiating. The family will receive visitors from 12 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Avram Funeral Home, Mayville, MI. There will be a Rebekah Service on Tuesday evening at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, MI. Interment will take place at The Watertown Township Cemetery. Suggested memorials may be made to the Rebekah Lodge 120 of Fostoria, MI. Frances was born July 23, 1931 in Flint, MI to Ronald O. and Bernice E. (Boise) Clemons. She was a 1949 graduate of Mayville High School. Frances married Jack B. Johnson on July 15, 1950 in Fostoria, MI. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 120 for 50 years and a member of the Fostoria United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the choir. Frances sold Avon for over 20 years and became a member of the Presidents Club for her achievements. She was a 4-H club and a Cub Scout leader, and she worked as a cook at the Ferguson Convalescent Home in Lapeer, MI. Frances liked crafting (painting and creating mosaics), playing cards and spending time with her family. For a short time during her lifetime she wrote articles for The Mayville Monitor, The Tuscola County Advertiser and Lapeer County Press. She is survived by four children: Susan Carol (Michael) Zeglevski of Brighton, MI, Jack B. (Karen) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Stephen Allan Johnson of Fostoria, MI, Dean Lee (Christine) Johnson of Otter Lake, MI; two brothers: Arnold (Sharon) Clemons of Fostoria, MI, John (Lynn) Clemons of Clio, MI; 13 grandchildren: Rick Lee (Debbie) Donovan, Holly (Jason) VanLew, Tracey (Roland) Major, Jodi (Nathan) Blatt, Ryan (Courtney) Johnson, Adam (Whitney) Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Sara Zeglevski, Amber Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Alisa (Robert) Craig and Melissa Johnsom; 12 great-grandchildren: Emilee, Kelsey, and Evan Major, Jenna and Lacey VanLew, John and Jeremy Donovan, Haliey, Willow, and Xavier Johnson, and Riley Johnson, and Ashley Blatt. Frances was preceded in death by: her husband, Jack; two children: Danny and Ronald Johnson, one grandchild, Jason Jay Johnson; two siblings: LeRoy Clemons, Marion Blackmer; and brother-in-law Neil Blackmer.
