David J. Warren of Caro, age 55, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 5, 1958 in Caro, the son of Laureen (Hodges) Joslin and the late John F. Warren. David was united in marriage with the former Gerilynn Waligorski on December 8, 1976, and she survives him. He was employed as a journeyman machine repairman with Nexteer Automotive in Saginaw, and recently became the union representative for Plant 3. He was a member of ABATE, loved fishing and the bass guitar, however, his Harley Davidson was his baby. David is survived by his wife of more than thirty-seven years, Gerilynn Warren; one son, David Warren of Fairgrove; mother and step-father, Laureen & James Joslin of Akron; his siblings, Lawrence & Brenda Warren of Saginaw, Elizabeth & Walt Schell of Waterford, Dale & Deb Warren of Yale, James & Tammy Warren of Mesick, Laurie & Thomas Collins of Sebewaing, Lisa Brink of Caro, Cheri Rayner of Akron, Lloyd & Shellie Rayner of Fairgrove, Lynn Rayner of Akron; mother- and father-in-law, Richard & Donna Waligorski of Coleman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Warren Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Gerilynn Warren, 205 W.
