William (Bill) Young, age 80 of Mayville, MI, formerly from Clawson, MI passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Avram Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Mead officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-8 PM Wednesday, July 30,2014 at the funeral home. Internment will take place at the North Grove Cemetery. With military honors conducted by Mayville/Vassar VFW 10884 and Mayville American Legion Post #181. Suggested memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund. William was born on August 11, 1933 to Guy and Clara Young in Morgantown West Virginia. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and he was honorably discharged in 1953. William married Patricia Johnson on July 20, 1957 in Mt. Clemens, MI. He retired from Chrysler Motors in 1989. William loved hunting, fishing and camping. William is survived by his wife: Patricia of Mayville, two daughters: Vicki (Randy) Poole of Silverwood, Kim (Ron) Lafferty of Maidstone, ONT, one brother: David Young of Manchester, TN, three sisters: Patricia Hilling of Morgantown, WV, Louise (Don) Nicholson of Manchester, TN, Judy Young of Manchester, TN, four grandchildren: Scott, Brad, Brent and Cherie, one great grandchild: Molly and many friends, nieces and nephews he was also a caring father figure to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel in 2009 and three brothers: Kenneth, Donald and Wesley.
